Randomized Thought Experiments is a project maintained by Alan Chen, whose ideas are mostly randomly generated from anywhere. But statistically speaking, his bathroom has the highest idea density. 1

“Thought” means thought. Everything here is placed purposefully, including blank spaces. I will do my part to help you understand, but you have to do your part, too. I hope we can have a thoughtful virtual conversation though this digital, remote, hyper-text interface.2

Experiments are experiments. They come without any warranty. Things here may or may not make sense to you. But test subjects, your feedback is most welcomed.

Alan will travel through time and space. The test subjects in control group will (hopefully) periodically check this hyper-text interface for updates. In the treatment group, the test subjects choose to enroll in a advanced notification mechanism.3

The experiment start from the second the test subjects first visit this interface, then it will go on indefinitely, until Alan or the test-subject stop functioning biologically.
